Overview
Our founder was responsible for all Grand Plaza mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sprinkler engineering while working for HTL, a wholly owned subsidiary of PPL, at the time.
In 2003, this best-in-class project represented one of the country's first LEED Gold building (before platinum ratings existed) using a fiscally responsible REIT budget, and maintaining Energy Star status for over 10 years. All upgrades required achieving a 4 year or less ROI in a challenging era when energy saving upgrades had not reached their maturity.
The 24 first-of-its kind engineering solutions merited recognition at The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) national meeting and was also featured in an issue of Heating, Plumbing & Air Conditioning (HPAC) magazine.
